Robert Anton Wilson was a writer of spirituality and metaphysics. From his roots as a founder of Discordianism, to his Cosmic Trigger trilogy, Wilson has amounted a system of beliefs characterized by the unbelieving. He urges the individual to consider all and believe nothing as certainty, granting the individual the ability to attain every belief system while still retaining a healthy level of skepticism. His writings find themselves more relevant now than ever before. His process involves a self-initiation into the mystery traditions and other eccentric and esoteric belief systems in order to culminate. His practices stem from personal experiences, including contact from beings he supposed could be from the star Sirius B located in Orion’s Belt. His influences include such people as Aleister Crowley, Timothy Leary (with whom he was good friends). His work stands as an invaluable guide to those who follow or are interested in any sort of belief system - i.e. everybody. His writings are both humorous and profound, lighthearted and as sobering as they come. Wilson will always have a place on my bookshelf, for he has taught me how to become untaught.
